Set of two large hammered iron room dividers by the renowned Lyon metal worker Charles Piguet (1887-1942). The patina on these authentic Art Deco interior design features is truly beautiful, and would sit comfortably in contemporary interiors. Sourced directly from an important Lyon address, the interiors of which were designed by the iconic Modernist furniture designer André Sornay.

About the Designer
Charles Piguet (1887-1942) was an extremely skilled metalworker based in Lyon, France. Born in Swizerland, he studied at the Geneva School of Industrial Arts, became an architect in 1910 and worked in Lausanne. In 1913 he moved to Lyon and worked for Berliet. He created his business after the war and exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in Paris in 1918 then at the Salon des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1925. He was a lecturer in ironwork at the Lyon School of Fine Arts from 1936 to 1940. He associated with other renowned designers such as André Sornay.
