John Banting (1902-1971) was a major British Surrealist painter and designer. Inspired by his friends Duchamp, Breton and Giacometti, he quickly evolved his own repetoire of forms and subjects. Banting exhibited at multiple International Surrealist Exhibitions in London, New York and Paris. These three linocuts are presented in both the Tate and the V&A collections.
